I'm playing J.B. Harold right now, are there any other recommended Detective games? I've played Deja Vu, NIghtshade and Famicom Tantei Club.
Tex Murphy -series. I played the first game already and it was kinda frustrating and awful, but the other games in the series are clearly better. The later games in the series also have FMV which is awesome.

Jake Hunter is another of those big detective series in Japan. Remake with compilation of Famicom games in on DS and translated. If you read moon you can play original games of course.

If you get the english version on DS, make sure to play "Jake Hunter Detective Story: Memories of the Past." There's another english version of the game out there with cut content and a different translation.
