They plugged in the white cord (left channel) of the RCA, into the RF out on the back of the NES.

There would be heinous hum coming out of the left audio channel. They probably noticed this and hurdurred the solution to unplug that channel from the TV but left it plugged into the rf out on the console.

Or maybe they have a multichannel mixer in that bitch for a sick stereo mod that currently outputs the noise channel straight to their sub to what used to be the RF. You don't know, Faggot.

but to be fair it's also useless and doesn't help anything either. they just don't realize NES is mono out.

Fuck. Millenials.
>>
>>3124243
Those reaction things are so obviously scripted, so it shouldn't be too surprising when the console isn't actually plugged in or even convincingly set up. Are you surprised when you watch a 'live' music video and notice the instruments are unplugged? Don't be a sucker.

Nothing is real on TV, especially the stuff that claims to be.
>>
>>3126160
>>3126168
I somehow doubt they're really playing on an Apple II in that other vid as well.
>>
>>3126176
Look at the screenshot there. It's clearly an emulator set to monochrome display mode. The computer she's typing on probably isn't plugged in or powered on.
>>
>>3126181
Yeah I kind of doubt they actually had an Apple II laying around in 2014 with floppies of all the specific games shown in the vid.
>>

How much do they get paid to pretend to overract to things?

Is there an 'oldfags react to casualshit' that I can get in on?
>>
>>3126160
Goddamn, this is so fake. Lemme tell you, the first time I ever used a computer was my dad's Commodore 64 when I was about the age of the kids here and holy Jesus, I figured out how to turn on the power and even load games up all by myself.

Kids are dumb but they're not _this_ dumb unless they're intentionally following a script (which they are).
>>

>>
>>3126202

>1:51

"That is too many steps."

That kind of seals any question as to whether this is scripted.

>turn on power

Because, really. It's actually even less steps than it takes to start up Windows 8 and what's more, the Apple II starts up instantaneously.
>>
>>3126202

While you could argue about how intelligent grade schoolers are, the older teen-looking kid shouldn't be this dumb (eg. at 5:33).
>>
>>3126202
Well to be the devil's advocate here, kids these days have been conditioned so that tech "just werks", specially if they're around tablets/phones/macs. There's hardly any configuration they need to do. It's just swipe and shit.

When we were kids we had hardly anything to do, so we could spend our time figuring shit out, now these kids have so many distractions they're not going to bother with stuff that might challenge them at the first encounter. Besides they're being filmed, it's not like trying to have a quality time playing video games, they're there to OMG REACT and try to be funny.
>>
>>3126220
And then he tells them to power cycle the thing so they can boot the game up. Bloody hell, just hit the Reset key like you did earlier in the video.
>>
>>3126221
>There's hardly any configuration they need to do. It's just swipe and shit.

The worst of all were late 80s-early 90s PC compatibles. I don't wish anyone to be subjected to that shit.

I actually have a book laying around "Secrets of Windows 3.1" and holy god, what a spaghetti mess that 286/386/early 486 machines were. Things got a lot easier in the Windows 9x era.
>>
>>3126220
I'd guess he's about 14. When I was that age, I'd used a Commodore 64, I'd used DOS, Windows 3.x, Windows 98, Windows XP, I'd used 5.25" disks, I'd used 3.5" disks. I'd done it all, man.

So I probably had more overall computing knowledge that him. All the same, it's pretty obvious he's scripted from start to finish because wouldn't you by the age of 14 have some critical thinking skills and not go "Hmmm, I think the PRINT command loads games off a disk yeah that makes more sense than tapping the reset button."
>>
>>3126232
>because wouldn't you by the age of 14 have some critical thinking skills and not go "Hmmm, I think the PRINT command loads games off a disk yeah that makes more sense than tapping the reset button."

Like I said, they're being filmed, it's not like trying to have a quality time playing video games, they're there to OMG REACT and try to be funny.
>>
>>3126221
This is true. There has been a rapid decline in problem solving skills in under 20's over the last 16 years. We think 'there's no way they could be that dumb' because we had to figure out how to connect and program VCR's and perform similar tasks when we were kids. Kids don't have to do that stuff anymore. Working things out on your own is not something many kids will experience and the results are terrifying. The smartphone generation often can't grasp basic things like closing programs on a computer. If you can't see it then it must no longer be running, yeah?

That said, the show is still obviously fake and the kids are told to overreact.
>>
>>3126241
This sounds like Grandpa Simpson yelling at a cloud, so I'm gonna have to stop here.
>>
>>3126246
Yeah I always make it a point not to downtalk the generation underneath me. It's kind of bad to do that because someday you're gonna need 'em when you're 80 and all your peers are dead/have Alzheimer's.

No, I'm serious. I genuinely want to read a study gauging whether or not more user friendly tech + the internet has effected younger generations.
>>
>>3126241
I don't disagree with you but I just don't think it's necessarily a problem. Sure they might be more tech illiterate than our generation, but in the grand scheme of things does that really matter.
They're probably going to focus on other more important things instead of being bogged down to troubleshooting machines.
>>
I don't agree that people in the 80s were necessarily more tech-proficient because in that time, there were thousands of nitwits who couldn't do anything with a computer but use Lotus 123 or WordPerfect or someshit like that.

There's always been a relatively small number of neckbeards out there.

>>
>>3126298
>>3126209
For people who don't know, the asterisk is telling the disk drive "Load the first file in the directory". The 8 is the device number and 1 means "Load the file into the address contained in the first two bytes". If the 1 is omitted, LOAD defaults to $801. Some programs especially utilities load in $8000 or $C000 so this parameter ensures they're placed in the correct location, however most C64 software including all non-cartridge games loads at $801 so you actually don't have to type the 1 most of the time.

Usually after loading something, you type RUN to start it. What actually happens here is that most software will begin with a BASIC statement like 5 SYS(2064) which simply jumps to the start of the machine language. Utilities that load in $8000 or $C000 are started with a SYS 32768 or SYS 49152 since they usually don't take over the entire system and can be exited out of.

A few games such as Zak McKracken simply autostart and do not require you to type RUN; they do this by overwriting a certain BASIC vector in the process of loading.
>>
>>3126298
Unless you're a Britbottle in which case it's just LOAD.

Hey I don't like it either, not only I don't like the name, I have a hard time being lumped in with the 90's kids as well, but it's even more fucking weird that the last generation to be born in the 1900s gets to be called millenials, that shit should be reserved to the 2000-2020 fags.

But like it or not, that's what we're called unfortunately, some tried calling it Gen Y but it didn't really stick. Pretty sure baby boomers hated their name as well though, so far only Gen X had a kind of a cool sounding name.

It's been a decade since I last did this but couldn't you also use the shortcut C= + Run/Stop? That would instantly type in and run the Load command.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennials

Strauss and Howe, inventors of the term "millennial" intended the term to be applied to children under the age of 18 as of the year 2000 - meaning 1982-1999.

Other publications have played with the date making the range as early as 1980/1 and as late at 96, but the core concept is "anyone not an adult at the turn of the century." What you're railing against are post-millennials.

Children make for bad actors, they're not reading scripted lines. They are playing up for the camera and the other adults in the room who are encouraging and coaching them for outlandish reactions.
Take any spoiled child from the west with extroverted tendencies and prop them in front of a camera, you'll eventually get something funny/stupid/entertaining/provocative enough that people would watch.

But you CAN send RF to an LCD TV. They have TV tuners built in that can decode an analog or digital signal. The white cable is in no way connected to the yellow and red. It doesn't care what signal is on there.

yes, because everything at all times is about sex
either way though, part of the feminist movement is about the idea that as a woman you should be able to have as much sex as you want without being shamed for it. The real feminist movement is about equality with men, the man hate sector is a perversion of feminism that for some reason the internet has latched onto as if it's the only form of feminism. Maybe just because it's easier to yell and scream hate that way and pretend you aren't being a flaming misogynist.

I believe they call this no true scotsman fallacy, all feminism is men hate just like all multiculturalism is white hate. It doesn't matter if you're a little less radical about it your still a bitch.

She's a young teenage girl you dip, not some sneaky jew rubbing her hands in the shadows. 99% likely she honestly believes feminism is just about girls being allowed to do the same things guys do.

Pretty much. I even went as far as explaining what a composite cable being plugged in can be used for, but hey, all these kids who never seen a NES in real life know best.

>Magical RF box at the end

You mean this, dipshit? The "magical RF box" that came with every NES sold in North America? Notice how the end that plugs into the NES is essentially an RCA plug? They captured video from either RCA or RF, and had them play on whatever wasn't being used to capture. Not that hard to comprehend, really.

Forgot the pic. Must be because only someone born within the last 5 years hasn't seen one before.

Well see, French feminists have always been pro-sex. In their mind, feminism means "the right to do whatever I want with my body and enjoy any man I please." while American feminists are more like "I hate men and I want to destroy them."

So it's a cultural thing, probably because France is a culture fascinated by sex while Anglo countries inherited English Protestant prudery.

This right here is the problem with /vr/. You were presented with a viable reason behind the configuration shown in the OP's photo. Get over it.
