It's still not about the difficulty but about how they fucked up the original game system envisioned by the original devs.
I appreciate how WD used to bring over good titles to the west and I don't even mind their localizations, but I think changing stuff on the actual game code was too much and also unneeded.
That said, the Saturn version is better anyway, there's no reason to play it on PS1.
