He's being a little punk because this Special Edition reissue expansion pack was only released in Europe. Regardless, this version changes the way ships handle so it's literally subjective whether SE is better than WO3.

Pleb who doesn't play wipeout past beginner level detected. The ntsc original runs at 60hz so its smoother and faster and has WAY better physics whilst the S.E has more content but has floaty ship physics that make high level play all about stupid leaving the track to fly through invisible walls and across massive gaps. Both are great but the original 3 takes it imo.
