So a new arcade and comic shop opened up in my home town of Evansville Indiana. I have not been there yet but it's amazing that someone would open one up in this small town
Arcade thread, I guess

I think it's nice this guy invested a lot of money to help dads introduce their kids to retro games and then go home and install some emulators and never come back.
Swillburger / The Playhouse in Rochester NY is pretty cool.
Good burgers, great cabinets.

Hey, hey. The chilluns who go there would shake their heads at CRTs ya know. I don't like it either but oh well. It's possible that's what TVs they had available and didn't want to spend money on CRTs

>that space invaders cabinet
I'm going to new york in October. Il check it out
So what was that one arcade you always went to but is now gone?
2 bit bandit was the shit. Even had baby pacman and First Funky Fighter (which IMO was one of the best arcade cabinets I have played)
SEGA VirtuaLand
There isn't even an emote large enough.

Sit and Spin In Seattle. Do your Laundry get beer and play games. still not sure if it was an arcade, a laundry mat or a bar.

Laundromats from what I've seen are the only real "arcades" left.
Made sense before cellphones became prominent. You've got a bunch of people with quarters who need to wait around, so you may as well throw a couple of arcade machines or pinball down there to make a little extra dosh.

Fuck me. I grew up in Rachacha and left for Hawaii 9 years ago. This would almost make a visit home all worth it.
It seems a lot of the 3d arcades get left out.
Stuff like Time crisis, Virtua Fighter, House of the dead, etc. Loved those light gun games especially.
