Bangai-oh, sin and punishment, world driver championship
>>
>>3083591
When it's all said & done, you just listed like 1/5 of the system's entire library.

Super Mario 64 is literally Nintendo's magnum opus. It's worth buying an N64 and a good controller just to play that game.

Other guys here pretty much have you covered, but I thought I'd highlight Wave Race 64 specifically. Easily the best arcade game Nintendo's ever made.

Shit draw distance from what I remember.

I stopped after getting to that flying bullshit with the time limits.

Mario 64, 007 Goldeneye and the THQ wrestling games. That is literally all. Zeldafags >>>/lgbt/

Naw I just went and watched some gameplay video to confirm. Has pretty horrible draw distance.

Are you serious?

You can't google literally 3 words?

N64 has some great games. Ignore the shitters. Check out games like the Goemon games, the Bomberman games, obligatory games such as Starfox 64, Paper Mario the Rare catalog, the Zeldas, F-Zero X and Mario 64, and games like Chameleon Twist.

Is that really any good? My brother got an xbox one with rare replay and I've been wondering if I should indulge in it because the stuff I've read about it doesn't seem flattering.

The end boss is nearly impossible to get to, almost in a game breaking way. Probably not worth the investment.

I loved the N64. /vr/ hates it for 2 reasons:

>1) /vr/ is a poor bastard and couldn't afford it
>2) /vr/ never had friends

Two facts of life. The third one is the underage memer kids just parroting whatever they hear.

People always will right away give you the games that are generally the most talked about, or the ones who had the highest scores.

But they completely forget about the ones that may have not been masterpieces but were fun as shit. For hours of fun and laugh out loud crashes, Im going to suggest Road Rash 64. Still holds up today
>>
>>3084660
Such a magnificent gem of a game. Once you master the admittedly difficult controls, it becomes one of the most engaging 3p shooters from the gen. It really feels ahead of its time.
>>
>>3084693
How? I got to him fine in a recent playthrough. Probably the most challenging part is getting gold on the one Floyd mission, but it's hardly broken.

Collecting all the tribals is a breeze, there's not even as much backtracking as people say as the majority of them are in areas you only unlock after beating Mizar the first time.
>>
Unabashed N64boo here (though a PlayStation is fine too)

My favorites (not necessarily exclusives though):

Army Men: Air Combat

Problem with perfect dark is the horrible framerate.

Its nearly impossible for me to do the perfect difficulty on it.

However the 360 version runs great so its best to get that one.

Fun fact: The jap version runs better than other regions because the bodies fade away after a few seconds like goldeneye due to rare releasing the game that way(weather it was for age rating reasons ect)
>>
>>3083478
smash, smash, and smash
>>
F-zero X
Sin and Punishment
Super Mario 64
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

i still love the n64, bought one again a few years back and beat OoT on it a few weeks ago, also got Goldeneye, Diddy Kong Racing and Quake II

trying to find Majora's Mask now but its pretty expensive considering i also need to get an expansion pak
>>
Are there any good schmups or 2D games on the N64?
>>
>>3091459
For shoot em ups you could try sin and punishment, its on rails but very good.

For 2d I know of mischief makers, bandai-o, and rakuga kids. Also while not 2d kirby 64 is 2.5d.
