What are the dark fantasy games of olde?
Hexen 2. Great art direction and superb monster animations, but gameplay kind of falls apart in the third hub.
The first two Thief games are pretty much flawless.

Assuming we're using II in Japanese release order, I prefer the more open feel of the second game. I'll always appreciate the feel of plunging deeper into the dungeon the first one brings. Always found games like that and Diablo aesthetically pleasing for some reason.
