Love the ship designs, but Gaiden is the only game in the series I've played. Looks neat, but it was just another shmup. They all feel the same to me.

I like the original first game, and Darius Gaiden the best. Some of the boss designs were truly horrific. Undersea life can be downright scary sometimes.
Still need to buy the new Darius game on Steam, I'm waiting until it drops to under $20.

I've only played Darius Twin on SNES. is it a well-regarded series? I never really hear anything mentioned about it. Twin was... okay, nothing mind blowing, but I haven't taken the time to beat it yet

It was novel first for its extra huge display, then later for its unusual music. It also basically invented the "BOSS APPROACHING" announcement.

Greatest figma toy ever, or greatest figma toy?I swear, there would be absolutely no end to my rage if they decide to cancel it...
Assuming figma buyers do have some semblance of taste, Mud Wheel would be nice to have after this.

Darius Twin is about as bad as it gets from this series.
Fun fact: It wasn't even intended to be its own game, but rather an SNES port of Darius II. Looking at how totally barebones the game is, it's fair to say they didn't make it far before giving up and just shoving it out under a new title for a quick cash grab.

Darius Gaiden or G-Darius are the best maybe Gaiden since it has some amazing music and the bomb.

Metal black is awesome if you like that try out the spiritual sequel Border Down on Dreamcast. It's really good and the arranged mode is great. They have the same composer too btw.

You can really tell because the ships in Darius II and Darius Twin behave VERY similarly.
