My smallest retro collection is 0.

Waiting on my turbo everdrive for my PC-Engine.

In terms of actual games, I think I have like 8 Gameboy games.
>>
I don't have very many games for any of my consoles because very few games are actually worth playing and I typically only buy games that I plan to play regularly. I'm not much of a collector.

Same, only got 4 Dreamcast games, but I love them all. Gotta pick up Jet Grind Radio, I borrowed it from a friend back in the day and really liked it.
>>
>>3081449
Damn son I am jealous of SoA.
>>
Shit. I was about to post my entire SNES collection but I think I fucking lost it.
>>
>>3081428
Does anyone else's copy of zool 2 crashes if you pick the girl? Or is it just me?
>>
>>3081475
I never realized how expensive it had become. $70 at the last place I actually saw a copy. I got mine years ago, used, for like, 14 bucks at an EB Games, I think. First time I played it was on load from a friend.

I borrowed games a lot when I was younger, I've come to realize.

Check the sticky.
>>
>>3081564
Were you good about returning said games?
>>
>>3081607
Yeah, I was. I was the victim of shitty friends returning games in poor quality or not at all. One of my NES games has a cracked case, and another looked like someone tried to clean the pins with a screwdriver. I lost a copy of NES Batman to a kid who just moved away. I forgot what game I got of his, but it certainly wasn't a fair trade.

After being a lifelong Nintendo (and later Sony) kid, I only got a Genesis about a year ago. I haven't been too aggressive about searching for games because I plan to just get a flash cart eventually.

What, you can't into logic?
6th Gen and up isn't retro.
Dreamcast is 6th Gen.
Hence, Dreamcast isn't retro.

Fellow Aussie bro? What's the best way you get games?

Probably the biggest it's going to be for a while, not much that I want for the Lynx
>>
>>3081475
I thought you meant Sonic Adventure for a sec.
>>
>>3082258
No, still lifelong Nintendo kid. Grew up with the NES, SNES, N64. I desperately wanted to play FF7 so I swallowed my pride and got a PS1 for it. I later got a PS2 and still use that as well. But through that time I've also stayed with Nintendo; I play with my 3DS every day currently.

I herdz early Sega games were superior to NES, but I never found(emulated) a single one I liked.

wow, I've never been jealous on /vr/ before.

It gets worse.
I bought most of that on clearance from Toys R Us. The NGPC units with Sonic cost $10, the clear ones $8. Samurai Shodown was $2.
>>
>>3082851
Whoever told you that is a liar. The SG-1000 and/or Master System aren't awful, but the library is pretty weak. Some gems for sure, but overall not on the Famicom's level.
>>
>>3083902
Damn, I remember seeing those blister pack deals, but I was like 14 and didn't have a job then...
>>
>>3082495
Nah, we used to have EB games in the states. They were bough out/transitioned into GameStop.
>>
>>3084063
I always liked EB Games better. I remember when they had NES games for .01.

Tied between Master System and N64.
Honorable mention goes to TG16 for my lone HuCard, but I do have a half-dozen PCE CDs.

That's like my Virtualboy collection. Only Tetris, no Virtual Boy.

Pretty much bought it just to see what it looks like (It was only 500 yen).

Dreamcast. But later today I'm getting THPS2 and Seventh Cross Evolution in the mail, which will make PS1 my new smallest retro collection.

Just started collecting a few weeks ago. Any suggestions? Preferably games that arent super super expensive like OoT, MM or CBFD? I have a SM64 cart laying around somewhere, just lost it.

Get the Rare games. Goldeneye and Jet Force Gemini shouldn't be too expensive.

they have 200GB models too, gonna have to give them a few years for 256 and 512 in micro format though.

probably playstation, I only own the system, a few crappy legit games, and a bunch of CDRs.
>>

I remember every mall in the city where I lived in the 90s had exactly one EB and one Babbage's and I'd always go back and forth between the two 3 or 4 times comparing selections and prices before making a decision. Buying one game could take hours; drove my dad fucking nuts.
