What are some of the best non-traditional "traditional JRPGS" on the PlayStation?

I was looking at Alundra but it seems to have a bit too much puzzle not enough action.

Alundra would be an action-rpg if it had a visible, manageable and upgradable stats system. It doesn't.

Secret of Mana is action-RPG.
Alundra is action-adventure.
