I never hear anyone talk about these games, probably because they were unknown outside of Japan until recently.

They made a sequel to Super Mario Bros. 2, a sequel to A Link to the Past, and a remake of the original Legend of Zelda.

If you call 25 years ago recently, you're a fucking retard.
>>
>>3072512
holy fucking shit did I just step into a time portal to the 90s?
>>
>>3072597
>1991
Yeah no one had a fucking clue what this shit was until the 2000's at the very least.
>>
i just played through stone tablets last night actually. fun, but frustrating. i wish nintendo would have just made a proper snes sequel instead at the time.
>>
I've played stone tablets. It's a good experience and a really quick playthrough.

if you believe this, you're too young to post here

>09/25/04 - I am today proud and honored to announce the most important update to this site since that distant December 1999. After four long years, at long last, Roto's "BS Zelda Complete" patch has been significantly improved!
no one had a fucking clue what this shit was unil the 2000s, huh? by 2000 we already had our first bs zelda english translated attempt at recreating the complete original quest.

>July.23.1999 - ZC Version 0.64
also zelda classic had quest maps featuring bs zelda from the get go, as it was easier to create maps based on the official 8bit classic than it was to recreate them within the confines of the bs zelda rom. you really don't have a clue. your notion that any of this is new is completely laughable. we were well aware of satellaview long long ago.

ITT: people who believe emulation and ROMs only into existed in the mid 2000s.

I was playing a partially translated Pokemon Red a year before it was released in the west.
>>
>>3072494
>they were unknown outside of Japan until recently.
In addition to what everybody else is saying, I'm going to point out that even Hyrule Historia mentions these games, everybody who cares knows about them already.

>>3074856
Mid 2000s was the beginning of the web 2.0 era, it's a second Eternal September of sorts. It makes sense that newfags think that's when the emulation scene started.

Even current emulation sites like Emuparadise have existed since 2000, you have to be pretty blind to believe that the emu scene is a mid-2000s thing.

>>3072505
Yeah the link on >>3072512 has them. I'd recommend playing the real-time versions, the games were clearly made with the time limit in mind and it's a lot more fun that way.

Hell, the best emulation site that ever existed shut down in 2003.

Way to get hung up on semantics, autists. Don't talk about the actual games or anything.
>>
>>3074856
I played Gold & Silver with partial translation before it came out in the west.

I also played Red on PC while I was playing Blue on my GB Pocket.

That's not semantics you fucking spazz, go tip your fedora on Twitter, Niel.

Shubibinman Zero is pretty good. If only the bosses weren't so hilariously easy.

If by recently you mean decades, sure.

I watched videos to know what it was about and frankly I don't think it's that great. It's a cool novelty but not something I'd like to play, I don't like time limits or voiced long cutscenes.
>>
One golf game has been translated recently. I suppose that is worth checking out.

Also, are the Kirby games lost forever?

Just beat this game this morning...i loved it...great looking game...shame its so easy.

>PS- i used saved states and cheat codes too
>>
>>3079667
There were like 7-9 mini games based on Kirby and we only have roms for 3. Kirby's Toy Box or something.
>>
>>3083279
Finally had a look.

Honestly doesn't look like we're missing much, so I'm not too saddened by it being lost in the annals of the internet.

Definitely not.

It's still sad.
>>

If it was at least on the internet, it weren't lost.
