Old Final Fantasy font was better

well, I think FF always used the same font in Japan. But I agree, the old US logo did look pretty cool. I really like the US Final Fantasy I box art.

They started the classic font with FF4

Oh, you're right. I just looked it up.
This particular logo looks pretty awesome, too.

old Final fantasy everything was better.

Final Fantasy III / VI has a very nice looking logo, but the sword on Final Fantasy II / IV's title screen is a bit much for me. Either way I agree that the old typeface is better.

Now this is a cool logo. Cool CD extras as well. It's interesting how much love and care went in to crafting the worlds of these old RPGs, even if the games themselves weren't always actually good (case in point, Famicom version of FF II). So much of this stuff never left Japan, too. Although we did get that extended game guide packaged with FF I for NES which was pretty tight.

Maaaaan.
Why'd they have to "localize" out the cool magitek logo?

Anon, please, you're scaring the nostalgiafags

On one hand, I liked the font used on "III". On the other, "VI" had a sweet Magitek armor on it
