Thought making the list of 10 would be harder but i had a difficult time narrowing down the last 2 spots. I also could not arrange anything past number 1, so my list, in no order goes:

Fallout 4 basically had everything i look for in a game personally, and it was my favorite by far of the modern day fallouts.. never understood the hate over the game.
Playing on a R9 390 it was also one of the better looking games and the art direction etc. was spot on for what they were trying to achieve imo.

I'm honestly unsure how someone could find Metroid to be so difficult. I was generally pretty bad at videogames as a kid, but I still got through Metroid without much trouble. Figuring out where to go can be a bit tricky, but outside of the final stretch the enemies and environments don't really pose much of a threat.

OK here is an improvised personal top ten of games I know of... I recognize that my knowledge of good games is lacking as I have yet to play or at least look into a lot of those other people tend to mention. I've never been exposed to anything Everquest before except the fact that it's an MMORPG. I have only ever played a little bit of the first Zelda game, of the entire series. In fact, I guess I'll be playing those next.
The way I judge games is by "overall aesthetic", meaning, something about the experience is just nice, even if it has flaws otherwise. Id rather visit a beautiful ruin than a well built but sterile feeling castle.
I'm also sure I'm forgetting some or might reconsider some if I spend time thinking about it.

If I was to review it as a modern indie game I'd give it an 8. Outstanding music, art direction, characters, environments etc. But gameplay has little depth compared to something like Dark Souls, and the graphics are way too lazy with the textures, even if we're giving the low res a free pass.

I like time travel like butterfly effect e.g. Warrior Within that's why I like viii. it's just a preference of mine. silent Hill 4 is not really special but I personally like the atmosphere of being locked inside a room which is creeping me really out. And FFViii has the most epic game intro I have ever seen. I'm more of a story guy, my focus is less on game play except battletoads that was the most epic game play I ever played. I only had to skip the lollipop stage because I couldn't manage it with my HDTV lag (this sounds like an excuse)
