What is your favorite game that most Westerners wouldn't even go near? Any genre. Give me the weebiest game you still enjoy. I won't judge.

>most weeb
The most weeb game would be some date sim game where the player has to know Japanese in order to play or enjoy.

I cant think of a really weeb game thats retro. I started getting into weeb stuff at a older age.

Considering most of video games I play nowadays are eroge in Japanese, then it's hard to choose.

If you accept even a non-retro one, then one of my favorite eroges is Monobeno. I suppose most Westerners wouldn't have understaning for eroge featuring heroines of low height and unspecified age, so that's the "most Japanese" one.

Most subcharacters have boobs. And the premise is the protagonist's little sister (pictured) suddenly aging several years and the protagonist working to reverse it.
>>
OK, let me rephrase the question slightly. What is the most "Japanese" game, not necessarily the most "weeb" game?

Examples: Cho Aniki, Tengai Makyou.
>>
>>3056914
So something either set in weird Japan, weird Japanese interepretations of the West or just plain weird?

Clearly Earthbound is the answer.
>>
>>3056910
I'd fail at the game because I wouldn't reverse it. Tits are life, ass is hometown.

>>
Umihara Kawase. It does have an overseas fanbase, but most normies wouldn't care about a game with a little girl collecting fish. It does grapple hook mechanics better than Bionic Commando, and it gets really fucking hard.
>>
>>3056921
It's a rhythm game. You just have to push the four directions in order and sometimes you have to push one direction twice, depending on the percentages shown.

Princess Maker 3, played with the nude cheat.

Weeb = wapanese = wannabe Japanese. Therefore, a Japanese game cannot be weeb. Weeb also is not synonymous with otaku.

There are almost no cases where you would ever need to use the terms weeb or weeaboo. Weeaboos practically don't even exist.
>>
I started enjoying pachinko and pachislot games, I think that is probably beyond the pale for most westerners. Hanafuda, maybe, also counts (but certainly not Mahjong), but those are /tg/ and not /vr/.

>>3058229
>Weeaboos practically don't even exist.

You don't get out much, I take it.
>>
>>3058248
There are virtually no cases where someone accused of being a weeaboo actually is one. Unless you go out your way to look for them, you are not going to encounter weeaboos.

Today's weeaboo paranoia makes /pol/ seem grounded.
>>
>>3058254
I've met a weeb before... all she did was rant and rave about how great japan was... and I don't dislike anime... but I'm not that into it... I've only completed like two of em... meanwhile she was going on and on about this list of em and trying to describe "yaoi" and shit...
>>
>>3058229
I was being ironically hip. If the word "weeb" triggers you, replace it with "Japanese games which most Westerners just don't understand".

Here's another example: Night Slave for the PC-98. Take Assaults Suits Valken, add a Gradius-style powerup system, and then mix in a generous helping of lesbian sex. The result? One of the most criminally underrated run and guns of all time.
>>
>>3057410
Perhaps on 4chan, but I meant "Westerners" in general. Although it becomes kinda moot then, cause even random people in Japan will probably judge you harshly for liking stuff like that.
>>
>>3058171

Pachinko-fag here, I went to high school with a bunch of weebs, and met plenty more at local gaming conventions. Granted, this was before the turn of the century, but I kept meeting young weeaboos at the game shop and at conventions.

Among nerds at least, weebs are pretty fucking common. At least I grew up in an area that gets a lot of Japanese tourism (where Akagi no Anne is set), so it's not entirely useless to pick up the language.

I'm also a weeb, I realized this the first time I cried because I can never render faithful servitude to the Emperor

They use IBM's DOS/V rather than MS-DOS, but run on the same hardware as MS-DOS.
>>
>>3063785
PC98 is DOS.
>>
>>3058119
Thats not very weeb, pretty straight forward and you don't need any Japanese to play
>>
>>3064018
And a Mac is a personal computer, but that's besides the point when you want to run a game.
PC98 MS-DOS software is not compatible with regular IBM PC DOS except in extremely limited cases. You can't just throw a PC98 game into Dosbox.

>>3063785
There are few DOS/V ports, but no real exclusives. The Japanese PC game industry basically rolled over from PC98 directly to Win95.
