Well, I annotated my Ultima Underworld maps, but never to that level.

I'm sure we've all spent time looking at the Super Metroid and Castlevania maps.

I love seeing 3D renders of maps which the game gave you as 2D. Ian Albert did a bunch of these for Doom and Doom 2, pic related

great map to start with, simple, useful info, tilted.

no coordinates, but game window tittle shows position, and mapping tools pinpoints you,

Such a fun world to explore. Not nearly as many secrets as Zelda 1, but it made up for it by having actual towns and caverns you could enter.
