Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone here knowledgeable about the Dreamcast library could point me to all worthwhile local multi-player games on the system. Any format is fine, but up to 4 players is preferable. All I have at the moment is Power Stone 2 which is fun as hell, but I want to take advantage of the 3 extra controllers I was donated to by some friends.

San Francisco Rush 2049's stunt mode, Spawn: In The Demon's Hand, Bomberman Online, and Virtua Tennis are my sincere recommendations. If you don't play sports games, that last one may sound weird, but trust me that thing is a fucking treasure. I hate tennis and I love that game. It is tennis given form, and it is very very fun.

I'm gonna second this second. I don't think it's 4 player, but still very fun. Capcom has a ton of 3D arena fighters on the system and shooters, all great ports of the arcade counterparts. Virtual On and Tech Romancer are good for playing and having loser pass the controller, and so is Hydro Thunder (this may be 4 player? I forget.)
Check out Gauntlet Legends for 4 player goodness. Ooga Booga is a really weird 4 player third person arena shooter. Pretty fun in short bursts.
Stay the fuck away from Sonic Shuffle. A Sonic themed Mario Party clone sounds cool but they fucked it up beyond belief.
Seconding Spawn in the Demon's hand. I think you have to grind single player a bit to get all the characters, but hot damn is it fun once you do.

I thought the cards were way more fair than the dice rolls (plus really nice with the vmu), the boards a lot more imaginative and the mini games a bit less bullshitty (I played Sonic shuffle first tho, and only one Mario party I may be a bit biased). The only bad thing I remember are the load times (but you're taking turns with your pals it is not as bad as if it was a more actiony game)
