Duck Tales 2 I think has a mod that adds a second player with Darkwing Duck's sprite. Off the top of my head, that's about all I can think of /vr/-wise.

I tried this out the other day. It's certainly interesting, but some parts can be pretty annoying. The penguin race, anything involving cannons, etc.

Pretty sure that just adds three extra Links that are all tied to player 1's input and is not actually multiplayer at all.

It is real, it's a ROM Hack, its a tad wonky, but impressive and pretty fun nonetheless
