Why no love for early video game mascots? Has /vr/ completely forgotten about series like Pac-Man and Frogger, or have they just aged that poorly?

Pac-Man did spawn a number of decent platformers in the '90s, although they might have been largely overlooked. And Frogger got a nice reboot during the fifth generation, the first 3D Frogger title being one of the highest-selling games for the PS1 overall. So it seems strange that I've never encountered any discussions about these series here on /vr/.

This was one of my first PS1 games.

I also had that weird "Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge" game.
