Every once in a while I would go back and delete absolutely all my saves as a form of self harm
Thats why I backed all my ps1 save files onto my ps2 memory card
It doesnt read them but works fine to copy them back and forth for backup purposes

Sure, losing your level 99 complete save file in a JRPG is annoying, but honestly, who cares? Were you going to go back and play FF4 on that file just to beat Zeromus? Or were you just going to play the game from the beginning.
