Both are on the same crt tv. 1 is an xbox running coin ops the other a real snes.

The emulated is using pixel perfect setting
>>
>>2931893
Either the left is running at 448p or it's just such a poor quality photo that the scanlines are being blurred into nothing.
>>
left is emu

The one on the left

Left is Xbox, because Xbox can't do 240p.

Try again with a CRT_Emudriver setup
>>

the right one is 8:7 pixel perfect.
but what is the left one?
neither are snes 4:3 aspect ratio
>>
You can notice the SNES trademark RGB smeariness on the right side. That's one of the reasons people recommend the 1-chip units for RGB (which don't really look too much better I think).

xbox emulated ugly filtering is ugly

Right is probably Xbox because the pixels are sharper. The real thing wouldn't display pixels so sharply unless the TV's resolution is the exact same as the console's.
