Miyamoto cites his childhood boy-adventuring as the major inspiration for Zelda. That said, Druaga was a massive influence on Dragon Slayer and Hydlide, and then Zelda by way of the previous two. Ultima was the other big factor in these games' development.
Druaga itself seems poorly designed to me, with so many of the goals you need to satisfy in order to clear it being hidden in ridiculous ways. It forced arcade regulars to trade notes like it was class homework, rather than being a dungeon crawl you could replay until you figured out as much of it as your skill, observation, and experimenting allowed. I think it was a genius release for Namco in 1984 when arcade competition was getting fiercer, but that doesn't mean it was fun to play on its own merits vs. how it got you (hypothetically) to hang out with friends and figure the damn thing out.
