I have question about hooking up a Famicom to a digital TV. I know that the unit cannot be connected directly to the TV, but to an analog proxy such as a VCR. My problem is my room is really small, so I don't have the room to place an enormous VCR deck among all my game systems. Is there anything else smaller than a VCR that I can use to connect the RF switch to?

Try a smaller vcr.

Yeah, an RF demodulator (note, NOT a modulator) Be aware that they tend to be rather uncheap.

Or you could get your hands on an RF2703 chip and build a circuit around it. Cheap but time consuming / impossible depending on your power level.

this. All forms available. Plus a VCR and tapes are quite retro themselves, it adds to the feel ..
