Can anyone tell me a fair price for a Sega CD? I have been hunting for a little over a week, and all the ebay listings I try to bid on become so over priced. I have also hunted around my city, but haven't found one place that has a working unit. It's starting to become very frustrating.

My best friends came together and bought me Snatcher for my 30th birthday. I'm dying to play it on the original hardware.

You might be able to find one that doesn't turn on for cheap, just needs a quick picp fuse replacement

Wow OP, nice gift.

Ebay seems resolute about 100 bucks. I got really lucky a few weeks ago and got the whole shebang (Gen/CD/32X) for 105. If you know any stores around you with competitive pricing then get in touch with them, maybe they can hook you up.

Also I might recommend getting some CD-Rs, they're a real help with SCD.

Contradictory post is contradictory.

Yes, I was very touched with Snatcher as a gift. One of the most meaningful gifts I have ever received in my life.

Nice work on getting that bundle too. I wish lcoal stores had SOMETHING... but I can't find a single one with a working Sega CD

The going rate for a Sega CD (according to price charting) is around 60 bucks. I asked around at local stores, and the were selling them for around 40 - 60 dollars. Ebay listings hit around 100 plus, I was just wondering, why.

Well over double the price of a region free Mega CD.

I played Snatcher on an emulator back in 2007 called Kfusion or some shit... it's pretty much 100% accurate and also lets you use original SCD games if you have them.

On the topic of Sega CD's, anyone knows where I can get a Model 1 Sega CD in Europe?

Import costs from the USA + the possible shipping damages + the fact that outside-EU import costs can cost me fuckloads.
>>
I paid $20 before shipping for one with a blown fuse. Soldered in a new one and works great.
>>
stupid sexy model 1 is so expensive
I hope it doesn't break as often as some people say
>>
My game store sells model 2 for $50, seems fair to me.

For someone who has a PCE-CD, is it worth it to get the Sega CD?
