What are some good retro boxing games? Whether arcadey like Punch-Out!! or more 'realistic'.

I liked this one from that Atari 2600 mashup cart. It would be highly controversial today though
>>2918110
Literally just the Punch-Out!! series. There's one for GBA that's cool, but that's not /vr/ obviously.

Came here to post this.
4D Sports Boxing

Heavyweight Championship Boxing.
Underrated, maybe because it's a Game Boy title, but really fun.
There's some small customization and progression options, as you can distribute points to improve strength, stamina or speed according to your style, and even select you personal finishing blow (even if it's just straight, uppercut or hook). The fighters' names are a little less goofy Japanese version (just "Boxing!!", by Tonkin House). I mean, Lefty O'Hook is pretty amusing, but still…
It's slow, it's clunky and I love it.
The boxing minigame in Ape Escape was great, with the analog twin stick mechanics and stuff

4D Boxing was a great game.
Also, Title Fight.

It's called Boxing by Activision. And what makes you think that it would be highly controversial? Because one player is white and the second is black?
No, it would not be highly controversial in the least.

I think your own comment is highly controversial though. Can I support you on Patreon?

If you haven't played this yet, you should, because it's the best Punch Out. I have no idea why PO and PO:Wii are so popular compared to this
It's tough to top telroboxer on virtual boy.
Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing was a pretty sweet boxing game with a little RPG element involved. Though the stats didn't mean a whole lot if you knew how to pick apart the CPU controlled opponent.
Did somebody say Ring King?
I liked the Chavez/Riddick Bowe one

Fuck I got trips and I forgot my pic
>>2918110
I like the Chavez games on snes. There are 2.

>Doritos
>>2918110
I really liked Super Punchout.
No Mike Tyson though.
>>2918163
Why would it be controversial
>>2918169
>GBA boxing game
Tell us anyway, it's almost a handheld SNES and just off by a few years.
>>2918189
>maybe because it's a Game Boy title
Isn't the Gameboy one of the best selling systems in vidya history, like it sold an obscene number of units, almost a hundred million?
I suppose the game itself might have been marketed poorly.
>>2919214
>Riddick Bowe
Riddickpuncher Bowe, you mean.
>>2919104
Teleroboxer is super cool, but
>Virtual Boy
I really like the VB library but I really don't like playing on the VB itself. I wish Nintendo would retool those old games for the 3DS.

Excuse the platform, but I'm trying to help OP here. This game is basically the unofficial Punch-Out that came out between the SNES and Wii ones. The gameplay is all-too familiar so you can dive right in, and it's got some beautiful hand-drawn animation. I truly feel this really is a hidden gem.
