Pawn shops. I've been able to get joysticks and paddles at a place nearby to me. Check all the places in your area.
I got some knockoffs for $2 each. They suck but is at least they work properly. My advice is just get some genesis controllers or if you wanna go pure get some wired atari flashback 2 controllers.
Get a wico, its 10x better anyway
