What are good PSX games without FMVs? I need some before a new CD drive will arrive.50 cents for a CD-R, could you imagine it?

I'm going to assume you mean "Minimal interruptions in the gameplay".
Tomb Raider series, Abe's Oddysee, Kurushi/Intelligent Qube, Tenchu.
>PSX
If your optical unit is on the verge of burning out, Redbook Audio (i.e. CD audio) will also be an issue. A number of games use this format.
King's Field (KF2 in Japan) doesn't have any FMVs (or CD audio) to my knowledge. I believe the intro may be a cutscene because it appears to be rendered using in-game textures and models, but I may be mistaken.
I'm pretty sure RPG Maker, SaGa Frontier and SaGa Frontier 2 don't have any FMVs or CD audio.

All of the TR games have FMVs and CD audio. They're also very strict about audio data being loaded correctly. If it's not, the games can and will freeze up.

Agreed. I know of it, but it was rarely used where I lived.
