What emulators are you using to play your retro games?

Higan is pretty good, I also like using Mednafen with the Mednaffe GUI, and Bizhawk since it gives a proper gui for Genesis Plus GX. I miss the charm and simplicity of older emulators like ZSNES and Nesticle though. They had their quirks and glitches, but they were simple to use and they had nice UIs.

MAME, Fusion, BSnes, Nestopia, BGB, WinAUE. Nothing exceptional

Best SNES emulator? I'm about to play SMRPG.

Retron 5, the wife loves it!

snes9x-next in RetroArch. Much faster than BSNES/Higan, which means you can use more frame delay for lower latency.

Higan was all I could get working. Seems good. I installed RetroArch but it just segfaults when I point it to a zip file.

VirtuaNes for NES/Famicom games

Kega Fusion for Game Gear/Master System/Genesis/Sega CD games

snes9x for SNES games

ePSXe for PS1 games

PCSX2 for PS2 games

Chancast for Dreamcast games

Project 64 for N64 games
>>
Why fusion isn't included in retroarch?
Serious question.
>>
>>2863781
Because it's not open source. The source code is needed to actually implement libretro and compile it as a core.

Genesis Plus GX is probably more accurate now anyway, Fusion would be more useful for 32x emulation.

this is hopefully the right place to ask. im not that familiar with emulating and i wanted to play monster rancher but i cant seem to get my epsxe to give me anything but dinos from the shrine. i click change disc then select an iso it says it reads it, then it gives me dino everytime. yes im loading different isos each time. what am i doing wrong?
>>
emulation is for cucks. tighten up and get the actual console
>>
>>2862065
dosbox, winuae, shmupmame, kega fusion
>>
I use Kega Fusion for Mega Drive and Retroarch with it's cores for most other things.

>>2863969
>not playing the games you own on the real consoles and emulating everything else
>>
OpenEMU on my Crapple. Modular emulation cores like retroarch but less fucky to get working.

I tried this once and even set up a hackintosh just for it. Didn't care for it. How do you configure it to disable automatic savestates and 16:9 stretching, and set it to use BSNES by default?
