Played it on Windows.
I remember being able to see the missiles flying over from one window to another (on Win95 with larger resolution you can drag the windows anywhere and the missiles will still fly appropriately), you might even guess their missile base locations that way.
And yeah, it gets pretty hectic.

Just if there are any other games that focus on the logistics.
In a way, M.A.X. has a strong logistics component, but it's still a TBS, with direct unit control

Arguably Lemmings and Humans. King Arthur's World is definitely one, even utilizes the mouse, but it' still a sidescroller.

Shit gets intense when multiple missles come in.
