It's okay if you're wanting a fighting game you can't take too seriously.
ex2+ is better

EX2+ is a fairly decent fighter and although not retro, EX3 is a great party fighter with it's 2 on 2 fighting cluster fuck.
I always avoided the EX series till a few years ago since they looked like ass but they're actually half way decent in their own right.

I used to love this game. Played the hell out of it back in the day. D. Dark was my favourite because I was a young teenage boy and he's a psychopath in a mask and combat gear with knives and explosives.

EX3 man.
I suppose I could have punctuated my post better now that I re-read it.

ex2+ is better, but ex+@ has them sick character themes.
Vulcano/Pullum/Skullo in new SF when?

I bought ex3 for seventy five cents, as a guy that grew up with Super Turbo on my own and my cousins SNES, and boy was that a huge kick in the genitals. Skullo was the best part, at least.
Are the earlier ex games redeeming? And sage and apologies for talking about non-retro. Sorry friends, just had to get it off my chest about how disappointed I was by it.

If you didn't like ex3 you won't like the earlier ones, unless you somehow fall in love with ex2's Excel mechanic.

I like EX1's blocky polygon models. EX2 less so, although the sequel does contain my favorite EX character.
EX had a damn good soundtrack.
