Try not to dump lists and instead describe what is so great about the game(s) you are posting. I'll start with MOHU.

>great gunplay, variety of weapons, in a lot of terms unsurpassed audio design even more than 15 years later
>god tier AI with some interesting scripts that arent seen in any newer games (if you throw a grenade around gestapo dogs they will pick it up thinking its a toy and will bring it back to you, enemies jumping on grenades to save friends, dead enemies continuing to fire their weapon while falling down, etc)
>atmosphere for days, OST
>nice campaign variety in terms of stealthy missions, open shootouts, level design (going from catacombs to occupied Paris to Casablanca etc)
>lengthy missions without checkpoints, fairly challenging on harder difficulties

I just love both the first and Underground MOH game so much, though I like 2nd a bit more because of nostalgia reasons. It did have some downsides alright however (pretty weak multiplayer mode, framerate issue here and there), but I think its a fairly overlooked game, especially compared to how much fame latter installations like Frontline got.

It was great. Though that "Civil War" cheat you got for getting best ranks in the first level made the game considerably easier, with everyone shooting each other so you only need to pick off the final guy.

I'm not sure why, but something about this game just enthralls me. I've wasted PLENTY of time setting traps in rooms, finding efficient ways to kill people, and adding onto my mansion. I love it.
>>
>>2821537
I want to love this a lot, I already to love the atmosphere and game type, but I really don't know how to get better at it. If there is such a thing as a good murder mansion or which traps/beasts to invest in. I could look up a guide at some point, but, I wanted to try it myself and didn't really do too well, and now things are getting kinda hard.

Do you know if the sequels were any good?
>>
Did anyone here like the shitty Spec Ops series? I honestly loved the serious military atmosphere and it actually had a fairly decent gameplay (in SP at least). Loved the, for the times, advanced gunporn. But then again I remember liking the godawful Rainbow Six 1 on ps1.
>>
>>2822147
I never knew your kind existed and I'm extremely curious what you think of The Line now.
>>
>>2822147

Maybe they were alright if you played them when they originally came out. I found a PSX Spec Ops game in a bargain bin about halfway through the PS2's lifecycle and it was possibly the worst game I've ever played.

I loved Race Drivin for genesis though, so I understand how it is to love a game that gets left behind
>>
>>2822172
I enjoyed The Line but nowhere near the level on which /v/ worships it. It's a fairly alright third person shooter with some amazing attention to detail which I really appreciated (lack of proper gun handling as you progress, more direct voice lines, MC reacts differently outside of cutscenes etc), but "the twist" was kinda meh. and the forced PTSD moment was kinda shit too. I did like how you usually didnt have a lot of ammo on you and were forced to move around and swap weapons. It was engaging for one playthrough but its impression isnt lasting for subsequent replays.

>>2822175
Yeah, PS1 wasnt really designed for tactical shooters were you die from one shot. Missions are long and then you die unexpectedly and you might even have to replay those first twenty minutes for 5 times or more until you figure out who killed you and from where. And the fucking loading times don't help. If anyone ever had the displeasure of playing Hidden and Dangerous 1 on ps1, you know what I'm talking about.

Playing through KF for the first time and love the dark mazelike atmosphere and that feeling of accomplishment making real progress after trying it out a few times before.

Loved the atmosphere, the relatively big diversity and the design of the levels,
The exploration part (having to return to previous levels with new equipment to unlock new areas and paths to new levels) was a novelty back then.
The weapons were fun too, modern weapons like machineguns and flamethrowers mixed with magical ancient egyptian stuff, like a scepter that fires homing ghost snakes that mummies.
And it features one of the best "bad ends".

imho still one of the best console shootans

I remember Q2 having one of the redeemable qualities, cant name it right now but I know for a fact it did something better than even PC version.

Hidden and Dangerous was fucking awful. PC version is freeware however.
Rainbow Six was... 15fps of misery but it did have weapon models and it somehow provided a tacticool fix, I remember playing it a lot. Obviously inferior to any other version.
Delta Force was a ps1 exclusive, Task Force Dagger at least. I think the first PS1 fps that had obligatory dual analog controls.

MI has some of the most unsurpassed level design even today.
>>
I was not aware of the PS1 version of Mission Impossible always thought it was a N64 exlusive

I remember playing that and I expected a Syphon Filter game but all I got was a Resident Evil clone.

also I bet nobody played this game

Did anyone try the Link Cable? I played Red Alert: Retaliation (in b4 DAT ANT MISSION) and Twisted Metal
>>
>>2824474
It's basically a serial connection. For Red Alert it would take 5-6 hours for a single multiplayer game.

More units on map, more lag!
>>
>>2824501
I fucking loved retaliation but I remember framerate going down to like 2fps near the end

Not that guy but, the second and the third are pretty good too. Don't know about the Vita and the PS2 sequels.

lag is horrible if many units. But that's a noob game anyhow. Had plenty of fun but as I remember lag used to piss us off because we were turtling and just biulding massive armies

Better than the sum of it's parts. Literally the best car combat game. Tried twisted metal but imo the handling is too stiff and scalectrix like. In v8 it is wacky, but in a good way. I loved the way the cars exploded and their scorched chasis ricochet off the environment. Loved the balance of weapons and the fighting style combos you had to pull off to use each weapon in a different way. My favourite was the bear hugger mine which traps cars in a certain radius and allows you to pumel or trap under environmental hazards.

we plan on taking one car packing a shit load of heat. then getting in and out like we think we're something in the movies.
