One of variety of rare things I own, no clue what is the rarest.

Prototype cartridge of Attack Animal Gakuen. No clue what it was used for (preview/review, demo, development, etc), but it lacks any sort of title label on the cart beyond the stickers numbering the ROMs.
>>
not sure
>>
>>2812856
Interesting

Care to post more photos of this? Also, how the hell do you plug it into a system to play it?
>>
>>2812942
I can take some later but I'm about to go to sleep.

It is actually housed in a Famicom Disk System RAM adapter shell so it just plugs in like a normal game (well, into a Famicom, that is - probably would be a bitch to get it running in a toaster).
>>
>>2812953
Oh really? Very interesting they'd do that.

and with a long enough adapter you could.

Probably Wayne's World

I almost impulse bought a Sega Ages yesterday as it was "only" $130 but I'm trying to keep my collection to things I actually want to play.
>>
>>2812794
Is part one rare too? I have both along with 30-40 other nes games at my parents house. Bubble bobble was one of my favorites for nes.

I don't work at a school so why would I be in one? You never left old shit from your childhood at your parents house?

Nvm I just googled it. For anyone who cares; no part one is not rare or at least not worth much unless it's new.

It isn't like there's a flood of these threads. Besides, you could always just contribute. It is just the rarest thing you own, which means that it doesn't have to be super rare.

Probably around $2k for the game and manual.
>>
Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo (w/ manual and jewel case)

Sin & Punishment for N64 (CIB)

Metal Slug 3 for MVS (cart only, sadly.)

I'm not the BIGGEST collector. I typically don't like stepping beyond the triple digit mark, but all 3 of these were over $100. Pictures soon if anyone gives a damn. I gotta get ready for night shift.
>>
>>2814516
I don't know about repros but someone made a TG-16 flashcart right?
>>
>>2814641
>Metal Slug 3 MVS

Really?..

I paid like 250 for Metal Slugs 1-4 and X not too long ago.
>>
Chrono Trigger
Earthbound
I heard that Goemon game for the N64 is kinda rare, got that in my closet somewhere
SotN
uhhhh
Yakuza 2?
MvC2 on DC
SoR3

I never really cared about buying shit because it was rare... whatever I got, I only bought because I wanted to play it.
>>
>>2814648
It was like 8 to 10-ish years ago. The Geo market may have been different then.

Plus, if you got yours from an eBay lot, I'd crack em open and make sure they're not the telltale windowed IC's of pirate copy fuckage. eBay's tough to trust when it comes to legit MVS carts.
>>
>>2814691
I did and they were all legit.
>>
>>2814691
Sounds like you got ripped off 8-10 years ago.

Stuffs been steadily on the rise (like most games) but you can still get deals from Neo-Geo.com's forums because people don't want people getting eBay prices.
>>
>>2812805
Bubble Bobble 2 is one of the least common NES games. I wouldn't call it rare, but it's not easy to find at an acceptable price these days.

>>2814648
MVS is slowly going up in price and MS3 in particular is fetching higher prices because people inexplicably think it's the best in the series

>>2814516
they do, but they are super uncommon since it's fucking stupid

to answer OP, I have:

- SNES Earthbound
- SFC Rendering Ranger R2
- NES Bandit Kings of Ancient China
- SNES Bebe's Kids
- SAT Panzer Dragoon Saga
- SAT Psychic Assassin Taromaru

Nothing crazy rare, but a few desirable cartridges here and there.

I also had English AES Mark of the Wolves at one point, but I sold it when I was short on cash. Kind of regret it, but it was the right decision at the time.

>>
>>2812856
I want one of those RAM adapter proto carts so badly.
>>
>>2812856
Hope it's dumped and released.
>>
>>2812794
Too bad they're all broken
>>
>>2817089
Yeah, they are my favorite variety of prototype housing, followed by company-specific boards. I know of at least two models of RAM adapter style boards, one which is too large for a top shell and one that can be fully encased.

>>2817096
It is dumped and differect from the final game (if you check the TCRF page for the game, it shows how to access a debug command that is accessible by default in the proto). I haven't publicly released any of my prototypes, but I plan to do so once I reach about 100 (different from retail or not, all will be dumped anyway for the sake of documentation) and can get them all backed up. The problem is that certain games use obscure mappers and that I have to buy at least four more dumping devices to cover all of what I have.

Pic 2/2

I used to have a bunch more Saturn games but it just got to the point where I was buying them just to buy them(they were dirt cheap early 2000s) so I thinned the herd awhile back of the titles I didn't care as much about. Had I known prices would skyrocket as high as they are I would have kept more.
>>
>>2812802
that's rare?

Probably joking, but either way this is for the rarest thing you own, which doesn't mean it has to be extremely rare. If the rarest thing you own is SMBDH, then that is the rarest you own.

Not sure about actual rarity except for the Games Express games, but these are some of the most expensive ones I have (SF2 repro thrown in for the lulz). In particular the Saturn ones seem to have appreciated in value since I bought them about 2 years ago.

I still have to play Hi-Leg Fantasy... I stupidly got it without having a Duo, and my briefcase setup won't play it.
