Socket is awesome. First time playing it.
Definitely an aesthetically interesting game.

It feels similar to Dynamite Headdy in color palette for a lot of levels. It's all really unique and doesn't really feel like it's trying to be a rip off of anything which is surprising.

mfw obscure sonic clone has more balanced color scheme than incredibly expensive Sonic 2

God.. Sonic 2 is so beautiful.

This has nothing to do with the thread but it's by the same guys who made decap attack and battlemania daiginjou.
I remember renting it a couple times when I was a kid and absolutely loving it.
Great music, visuals and gameplay is also pretty decent.
It's a bit underrated mainly because a lot of people write it off as a sonic clone.

It's a fair comparison but it definitely feels like its own game to me. It's definitely much more challenging.
hey the other day I was playing mr nutz hoping mad, unlike the first game that plays more like mario, this is a bit of a sanic clone. check it out, the rom was dumped recently.

>For the Magazine Sega Zone, Stuart Campbell gave it the lowest possible score.
Good to know game reviews have always been shit.

My gripe with this game is that maze levels can get REALLY confusing. But I guess that's the point. I'm not sure about having a fast level followed by a slower one. It worked for sanic 1 but it really breaks the flow here.

I don't know, I think it gives it some variety changing up all the time. The maze levels I actually welcome as well and definitely sets it apart from Sonic which is almost always straight forward but just multiple paths.

it's more like Sonic CD/Knuckles Chaotix or Sonic beta
The boss fights are original too from what I've seen.
