is there a difference between a CRT made in the 90s compared to one say made in 2005?

Flat front CRTs are pretty 2000s. They looked more "modern" to plebs but they're actually slightly inferior to curved tubes. Otherwise, the fine tuning controls are more computerized in a 2005 consumer set vs a 1990 consumer set and in the US the '05 is more likely to have a color stream input.
