The first 20 episodes were comfy fun times, then we had the sinking of the ship and delay of the submarine episode, followed by Diantha, Korrina, Mega Volt and the rival trio speculations, and more. There was alot of amour talk sure, but just as much as there was amour there was talk of what was to come in terms of rivals, potential Pokemon captures, arcs, and so much more.
It wasn't until after BroBowl that things started going off the deep end.
