In a realistic matter, would catching a legendary or mythical pokemon be illegal due to religious or the environmental hazard of removing a pokemon that's keeping the balance of nature? Or would it simply be impossible to shove a literal God in a tiny ball.
" Tim there's noway God is going to stay in there for long."
Would probably be more like, "Your funeral"
In terms of religious - Why make it illegal to catch god? You catch god, he let you catch him, it was his word
I mean, people would be unlikely to ever make laws saying, "Don't try to catch Death himself" because nobody would think somebody would be that crazy to try and that good at planning to then survive

In terms of "reality" you probably couldn't catch Legendary Pokemon unless they willingly allowed you to.
I mean, outside of the confines of the anime and games. Because they're not very realistic.

just make a wish to jirachi for infinite number of Pokémon.
I think they'd basically be uncatchable. We would probably have our pokeballs regulated and pokemon registered like you would with weapons. Civilians get basic pokeballs and first stage mon. Gym leaders/challengers get great balls and second stage mon. Military personnel get ultra balls and final evo mon.
