Is /vp/ excited for inevitable gen 4 remakes, or are people tired of remakes?
I don't think anybody could get excited for the worst games in the franchise getting remade
remakes are trash. If you want sinnoh there'e no reason not to just replay DPPt.

I love Sinnoh and I'd like to see it again in 3D, especially with how Alola looks to be taking away the grid on which all previous regions were built.

Here's an idea, drop the fucking 3DS and develop them for Android phones. That way, you can cash in on the pokemon fad, AND have a 3D pokemon game that runs at a resolution better than 240P and doesn't look like shit.
I'm sick of the 3DS meme, the hardware is so incredibly bad. Develop that shit for a snapdragon 820 and whatever meme chip apple puts out

No I would quit Pokemon. I hope are making another hand held console. If it were a mobile game, it would have microtransactions all over the place and I would rather just pay $40 for a game. If their wouldn't be a new handheld I would rather have Pokemon games on home consoles.

Didn't get ORAS but I'd probably get this desu. I played with other kids more for Gen 3 and Gen 1 was special since it was new, but for whatever reason Gen 4 was a lot of fun for me. Maybe it was just all the QOL improvements or something. Another thing to hype people for remakes is that they'll likely come with a new batch of Megas now.
I skipped gen 4 so ya I'll probably play em.

Would anyone being ok with the next handheld looking like this? The screen could be 720p and you can change the bottom part of the handheld. You can add a screen to the bottom to play 3ds games upscaled

Every region can be played on 3ds now, so I'm not really looking forward to remakes

Pretty tired of remakes now desu. RB remakes weren't necessary but were something to commemorate the 10th anniversary. GS remakes were sort of needed because johto mons were way too rare between 3rd and 4th Gen. RS weren't needed in that regard and seemed to be made just because, but i'd rather that time be spent elsewhere. I'm sick of remakes, especially if dp remakes go the way of ORAS and don't include Plat features.
I really really want to see what kind of crazy shit they can fit into a retelling of Sinnoh with all the stuff they've been experimenting with since Gen 4.
Sinnoh was so bad thanks to GF not knowing how to program 3D, but Gen 7 Platinum version could be so incredible. Gyroscope Reverse World. Legendary Gods that have the power level to show it (Mega Dialga and Palkia better be good) not to mention maybe Cynthia in 3D.

Not necessarily but 5 and 6 don't feel old enough to warrant remakes. And I can't excited about anything related to Gen 4 unless it involved taking the region, nuking it and starting over with new characters and story and pretending the stupid legendaries don't exist.

Because let's be honest here, they really first went off track with kyogre and groudon, sinnoh's everything was a massive shark jump, and they've been trying ever since to somehow top the way-too-far-ness they did with sinnoh.
They introduced a need to escalate when it wasn't needed, and powercreeped so hard so fast that they've been struggling ever since to find a new way to still escalate.
New series, nothing gets more powerful than ho-oh or mewtwo.
