For when shiny pokemon are not enough.
Gonna dump a couple variants i found. May or may not have been in the last thread.

This is fucking amazing.

I have a ton of these pictures. Most of them were either posted on the old thread though, so i am trying to keep this short and sweet.
>>27229785
I don't think there's "less creepy", just a different kind of creepy. The embryonic experimentation kind of creepy. The kind that makes people wake up suddenly at 3AM and go "fuck I shouldn't have read that before sleeping".
You're not going to get a meat mess straight out of fiction, but at the same time you'll never stop wondering about the number of binned embryos. Law requires that they be destroyed at the end of their experimentation period, but it's as much of genetic impossibility in nature itself that keeps aberrations from popping up.
That all of these have names not like any Pokemon is either a stroke of luck by the artist's choice or sheer brilliance in exploring a completely what-if angle of breeding superpowered (and for some, genetically unstable creatures), because it conveys the notion that these lineages aren't natural (or sanctioned) by any ethically accepted means, even without the flavor text.

Pretty sure it's just two pokemon breeding. Sometimes with the messed up pokemon it says the trainers get investigated for abuse if the result of breeding is inhumane to the pokemon. Some of the breeds are so common they are used by police because they have special powers
Also i will assume you're embryo rant is about art like this

And this
>>27230057
pls to giv ampharisu and meinsharos
It's a shame he gets so many damn Gardevoir commissions, because a lot of my favorites are of other Pokemon fused into unholy abominations.
Pretty much all of the Haunter ones, for example.
>>27230222
Not a rant, I'm just wondering whether to applaud the artist or toast him/her.
You have the public use examples that are clearly the benign application of hybrids, but others like >>27229963 that will make you scratch your head and go "I'm surprised this ISN'T a 'me am play god'", and of course the above two examples that are outright named as illegal breeding (despite all but Beheeyem being in the same egg group anyways). As I mentioned prior, nature itself keeps lines straight by making embryos between even slightly different animals extremely difficult, if not outright impossible, but it's the possibility of what happens if nature were to be a bit more lax that makes the concept interesting.
I know that Pokemon breeding obviously doesn't work this way, what with the egg always coming from the mother lineage, but it's not like that stopped the artist. Some of these have a surprising amount of insight put into their design and accompanying background which makes the concept all the better for being a nod to the inherent instability of actual genetic development, much less say cross-species breeding. Real life is predictable in comparison - it's either sterility in the crossed animal, or the embryo just doesn't take. For now.But I'd say the artist flexed his/her creativity pretty well in some of the entries insofar as super-powered entities are concerned.I find Puppeteer as a concept a lot more gripping than Midwife. I chalk it up to my hours spent on R-Type.

I'm pretty sure he hates it as well. You can look at his gardevoir drawings and see when he stopped giving a fuck and went from making a combination of the two to making gardevoir barely have anything to do with the end result. The artwork is still good, and i can't blame him for getting sick of the same shit again and again.
Honestly am surprised nobody has asked for a Torterra and Wailord combination.
>>27230665
I kind of want to see what he would do with a more conventional crossbreed like, say, Machamp with Conkeldurr.
Or for something weird-but-not-too-weird, either of those with Hitmonlee.
>>27230654
People give commissions they want the artist to do, and the artist will do them. The reason so much Gardevoir and fetus/embryo shit exist is because people saw one popular picture and said 'Hey i like this fetus idea, i'll give you $500 to draw a fetus mind controlling a alien'. Of course the artist is going to do it. The fact they manage to create this whole grimdark world around nothing but commissions is kind of amazing.
>>27230692
Probably a roided out abomination that is either spilling their guts or making their veins look like rope.
I can never tell if it's the artist that likes pulling so much needless gore in the artwork, or if it's the person paying for the commission that ask for it.
He also seems to have fun with eelektross.
>>27230732
From looking at his other art, I think it might be both; the person paying for it asks for it because the artist seems to enjoy drawing exposed interior biology.
However, he's also capable of cute.
>>27230654
You might get a kick out of this.

>realistic subtle morphological variations
fuck yes this is my shit 100%. need more variants like this.
>>27230908Unfortunately that's all I could find from him like that that was Pokemon related.
>>27230860
This is my jam too.
Not just specifically for this thread, but artist notes and pointers in general explaining their variations..
>>27229663
Why does it have whiskers and paws it's clearly a salamander.
