You'll have to use gpsies to make a route, and then import it to Lockito. The guide seems to think that wasn't important to mention.
Just go to Manhatten and set yourself to walk down Broadway or something, and always make sure that you're leaving a realistic amount of time between location switches - say if where you're "going" would be a five hour drive, wait at least five hours before going there or back.

That has nothing to do with the stability of your internet connection. Check your GPS settings and make sure the part of the phone where the antennae are located (usually the top) is unobstructed by physical objects such as metal parts of a phone case for example.

Anyone having trouble battling gyms? Every time I'm about to enter a battle, I get kicked off. As soon as the GO disappears, I'm brought back to the gym screen. I haven't seen any reports of this yet so I don't know if it's an individual problem.

My only other guess is maybe your walking speed is set too high. Humans walk at about 3-4 mph or 4-6.5 kmph. GO stops moving if you're going too fast.

As far as I've seen, XS usually has less HP for their level but attack faster/do more damage. Meanwhile XL means they usually have more HP, but attack slower.

No. Low 20's is the softcap. Once you hit that it adds 25k xp onto whatever your previous xp req was. Only a handful of autists have reached 25+, and like 6 30's. By the time you reach 20 you will still be in the range of 98% of people.

Always evole before powering up, if you power up at all. If you have multiples pick the one with the highest CP and best moves. I'm at level 18 and I wouldn't bother evolving anything with less than 500 CP at this point.

Why should I use lures instead of incense? Wouldn't incense benefit me more since only I'd gain access to the Pokemon they spawn?

CP jumps differently depending on what Pokemon was evolved. I would wait until I caught a higher CP Magikarp if I were you. Maybe 500 ish?

How it works is you stay at the same place on the bar above the pokemon, but it adjusts with respect to the CP cap of that pokemon.
So pretty much you keep the same ratio of the actual CP to CP cap that the Magikarp had, but it's applied to the (much higher) CP cap of the Gyarados.

Nintendo let them make the first real Pokemon app similar to their original game ingress and all they did was take ingress, slap a Pokemon sticker on and add simple as fuck mechanics.

this app tho.. a good portion of the time the servers are closed.. And when its open, i can be on for 1-5 min before it freezes. Looks active, but i cant click on anything or rotate the screen. In fact, even aside from the constant restarts which i gotta do rapidfire often, i dont think i ever had the app open over 10 min without having to restart it cuz it froze

They didnt get the rights to use pokemon and reskin ingress.. Ingress was always meant to be the alpha data collection for P:GO.
Ever since it started, it was obvious its real function was to gather user-submitted locations and test some of the gaming mechanics to iron out an app like this. Notice how P:GO doesnt have the ability to submit new locations.. The whole point of ingress was to establish these.. let people submit or dispute them, get it stable, then use this for a new game that wasnt so in-development.
Honestly, i wanted something new.. Everyone knew this but i was hoping itd go to an original property; not pokemon. They didnt just reskin it without some tweaks to make it less competitive; no more bombing points and defending.. just passive gym things and the battles are very much a small part of the gameplay.. Walking speed is about 5-7 km/hr for most people but 8.8 wouldn't be too fast for it to stop moving. Are you making the route in Locktio itself or gpsies? The latter has some extra steps.

How do you not have enough stardust? Try and find multiple stops close enough to lure both at once. I did that with 3 stops in one spot plus and incense for a half an hour and got about 8k stardust.

I was able to set a walking route in just Lockito without krautspeak gpsies.
You need to set your location with Nox first (otherwise you will be in Sydney or some shit and it will "teleport" you to the start point in Lockito), find that location in Lockito and click/drag start and end points for your route.
