Does anyone else initially dislike the new Pokemon when they're announced, but begin to love them once their in game model is shown off? I was like this when the starters were first announced but then they grew on me once I saw more game play for them. I personally think all of the designs so far are great and unique in their own way
No. The model looks just as bad, if not possibly even worse.

I hated Gen 6 starters when the games came out but they really grew on me. Not thanks to the ingame models though, holy fuck Delphox's model is awful ingame and looks nothing like official illustrations.

I'm not sure WHY that clean line bugs me so much, not the first time Gamefreak has used solid lines like that, but it just looks really awful on the bear

i can't remember how i felt about other gens except 2, i can still remember being in high school in the early 00s when magazines started showcasing the new pokemon of gold/silver, and I was just utterly underwhelmed
this gen however, I've loved nearly every new pokemon so far
