Now Gen IV was the best when it came to locale music, but it's battle music was lackluster. Frontier brain simply adapted the Gen III song with a more modern take and added some motifs from Post-game Gen IV

the best battle theme, I think, is the PWT Final Battle; you hear similarities from all previous generations and little call backs to other battle themes as well.

The major flaw of X/Y gyms is that they didn't follow everything BW2 did. Individual gym themes. Tense as fuck Last Resort music. Literal perfection.

It never really becomes energetic enough for my liking. The start is promising then it mellows down.
