I almost cried when the Kalos elite four showed up with four fucking Pokemon each. When the Elite Four are trying to baby you, it's really hard to maintain hope for the series. Not even a supercasual will feel engaged if you make sure they're never able to fail.

Yes.
Essentially OP's image related, but I guess that if I hadn't everything down to just what I wanted by the end of it (my most favorite team, just the right choice of clothes to end the journey at that exact point, how much I had grown used to my poke by then), it probably wouldn't have had as much impact. It was more of a "everything was perfect and I like this, this was really nice" kind of experience through that ending.
I really liked the animations in the cutscenes too, loved how they handled his quivering and trembling, right down to the falling on his knees and trying to make him look humble. The music was top notch too and I really liked that Fletchling bit as the ending closed.
10/10, certainly a memorable ending at least to me, goes right next to the classic 1st gen ending, 2nd gen's credits roll and others like it. Overall, all pokemon endings always make me feel sort of accomplished and they almost always have this great theme to it.

Literally why? It carried over too much from Gates and changed too much of the formula to be good. I dropped it before I even got to, like, the fifth dungeon because I couldn't stand pushing being the default instead of passing through. The music wasn't even good, either.

If you want newer graphics and mechanics and such, Super is the way to go. If you want a great story, then Sky is the absolute best game to get.
