It's a great revenge killer, but not good enough to want to put on every team because it can basically only do that.

It's great in VGC, especially this format. Plenty of people have topped regionals/nationals with it.
Smogon isn't competitive pokemon.

You can give him a choice scarf, he will copy all enemy's stats except health, and then he will be faster. If you copy the enemy sweeper or his megaevo you can get a faster sweeper and probably with more health (ditto always has his own health) . I personally think it's pretty good.

Against stupid people; just scout their team for the best sweeper, take out whatever they have that can counter it, then bring out scarfed ditto to kill it and whatever's left.

I've got about a 40% success rate with that strategy, but I'm pretty shit so it feels good as fuck when it works.
