How so? Y can roll off Solarbeams like nobody's business and ~214 base power Heat Waves thanks to Drought plus STAB, while X has more balanced defensive stats plus less weaknesses due to its typing, along with a 240 base power Outrage thanks to tough claws plus STAB.
I'd say they're on pretty much even turf.

Agreed, it's almost on the same level as
Meganium, unfortunately. Terrible HA, lackluster typing, and bad stat spread, but with a really god movepool. Meganium and Typhlosion are slightly worse, and there might be something else that's just as bad but it's certainly in the bottom 5 for starters, power-level wise. (Serperior used to be worst starter but then it got Contrary and became a god)
