If you're talking iOS then with an iPhone 6 or up (might get away with a 5s), nds4ios works well.

It works on 5 just fine, except the sound is laggy.
I don't really care for the sound, anyways, and typically played with it off.
drastic on android is really good and worth the price, but you will need to pirate it if you want it free
