All information on Sun and Moon so far has been introducing new Pokemon. I think that's a good sign there's going to be a lot of Pokemon this gen. Also I have a bit of headcanon that even numbered gens focus on gameplay changes, while odd-numbered ones focus on adding new Pokemon.
