I tend to look for the Pokemon Center ones. Fortunately there's a Pokemon Center Kiosk on the other side of the state, so when I'm in the area, I try to grab a few.

I bought most of mine at the Pokemon Center in Seattle. Some also came from the Nintendo World Store in New York and from the Pokemon Mega Center in Tokyo. Otherwise Gamestop and Toys R' Us usually has some decent stuff.

And honestly, it's not a bad idea to check out your local secondhand stores. I'm always shopping there and I found the turtwig in this picture >>27193364, which is a big Jakks Pacific talking plush, new in box for like a dollar or two.
You can also try checking Craigslist for local sellers, though you're more likely to find people selling off their TCG collection than anything else on there.
