People complain about the GS Ball having no point but everyone forgets that Ash caught Primeape and then released it two episodes later.

Really what was the purpose of even having him catch it in the first place?

difference between Haunter and Primeape is that Haunter at least had something to do. That and it more or less just followed Ash, he never caught it

They were originally going to have a Celebi inside the ball and push a Brand new Celebi Arc till they decided to make a movie instead
