I don't get it. The title doesn't say who the victor is. Ash could easily lose, or the battle could be interruoted and Ash could be the "victor" in an unofficial way. We don't really know if he'll be a pokemon league champion, and it seems weird that they woukd deliver on that front AFTER showing you the title at the beginning of the episode.
Am I crazy? Have they done this before with titles? Where they tell you explicitly what the outcome is?

It could go either way, or neither in fact (Team Flare). They've done a pretty good job keeping it vague. Even the next episode's title doesn't tell us what happens. The points for Ash are that it's the 20 year anniversary, plus it'd be weird to have him get to the final round only to lose. The big point against him is that he's brought no reserves- you'd think his first league win would be a team effort.

Read the whole conversation. The whole point of the original post was to weigh the points ("meta" ones included) as to why Ash might win or not win his match against Alan. The point being made is that something historic in the show like Ash winning a league would make more sense if he was bringing back old members for a big final fight. That page shows footage from both Ash vs Shota and Ash vs Alan, and while there's also the Iwane-animated Boomburst from Noivern on show, it could just be reused footage. Still, if Iwane truly wrote that he animated a league battle, then Ash vs Alan has to be his. I still don't think that Megazard vs Ashninja shot looks particularly like his style (and the giant orange shuriken which seems to be from the same battle definitely isn't), so maybe he didn't animate the very last matchup or he teamed up with Ohashi to deliver top-quality animation on the whole two episodes.
