I like it, it gives you a simple way to make the game easier and more fun for little kids, while not causing it to be completely downgraded in dificulty for everyone, and petting your pokemons is always funespecially ferrothorn, that makes perfect sense

It's fun to pet them but after a while it feels like you're just doing it to do it, not actually show affection

Its the best way to interact with your pokemon and actually feel like a 'trainer'. Amie was genuinely my most hyped feature of Gen 6 and I'm glad they're keeping and improving it.
It's more sad that it took them 6 generations before you could actually hang out with your bros.I also spent a silly amount of time decorating the amie base on my PSS and I'm seriously hoping they keep that as well.

When I realised just how fucking OP getting your pokemon to full hearts was I forced myself to stop interacting with my pokemon once they got to three hearts, which kinda killed me when I actually wanted to pet my shiny clauncher some more.

it needs to be balanced for battle at least.
lower the % numbers for good things to happen during battle. the fact that 3-heart pokemon can so often "hang in there" just for the trainer made X/Y even more of a breeze than usual.
