Who else here is curious as to whether or not mimikyu will be implemented in the overworld in some way, shape, or form? How do you think they'll do it if they do put it in the world?
Probably be a shy little guy, but tries to attract attention around people. Maybe in the anime it could be one of Ash's pokemon.

a youtuber mentioned that it would be neat if you see the pikachu tail sticking out of the tall grass like in last gen but when the battle starts you get pikaghost instead.
I would love for this to happen, it would have been awesome if they kept this poke as a surprise.

I can see it being this gen's mimic. Maybe it appears as a normal pikachu in the overworld, and interacting with it starts a battle.
i'm hoping it will get different forms, like the starter of eevee for example

Maybe it'll be a doll kinda thing, since its based on old Pikachu merch. Like you'll wander through a haunted house like DP and come to a dilapidated kids room with a Pikachu plush on the bed. BUT IT'S NOT A REAL PLUSH WOOOOOOOOOOH
